I like the internet… OK, fine… I LOVE THE INTERNET!!! The thing is awesome.

For the less internet “in the know” or tech savvy people (definitively: anyone not a nerd/geek) here are some of the latest and greatest that have already or are on the verge of rolling out:

• Hulu.com already allows you to stream your favorite shows from media juggernaut’s like FOX and NBC (click here to watch last weeks episode of The Office) but soon you will be able to stream this high quality content in High Definition. (For a sneak peak streaming HD service in action click here) Definitely bad ass…

• Google… have you heard of them? As members of The Open Handset Alliance they are developing the “first complete, open, and free mobile platform” named Android. But Austin… What the hell does that mean? Good question my not so nerdy friend. What it means it that when this thing comes out there will be many mobile phones/devices that any one can write any application they would like… and believe me, they will… That means that you will be able to customize every millimeter of what exactly your mobile device does. Neato…

• Broadband 2.0… (You can read about it here on Wired) Basically, in the relatively near future many more people will have accessibility to screamingly fast internet connections. So streaming those HD movies will be a breeze. This should also allow people to upload high quality content to services like YouTube or that other kind of video service… you know… that SERVICE… Ya you know, which one I’m talking about… Double victory…

No telling when exactly this stuff will hit the market but they are coming so keep your eyes open.
